£40 an hour, £130 a half day, £260 a day; four microphones, three cameras, edited files the next morning
The podcast suite (video)
A treated room with a round table, four broadcast microphones on arms, three 4K cameras and soft lighting, recorded to separate tracks and separate camera files. £40 an hour, capped at £130 and £260, with an engineer who runs the cameras and the levels at £20 an hour on top; edited audio and a three-camera cut the next morning on request.

Most of our hours now are podcasts, and the suite was built for them in 2021: a round table so nobody has their back to a camera, four broadcast microphones on boom arms, three 4K cameras (a wide and two singles), soft lighting that makes everybody look like they slept, and a treated room that sounds like a room rather than a bathroom. Forty-one shows recorded here last year.
A typical session is one or two episodes in two hours. Each voice is recorded to its own track, each camera to its own file, and the engineer watches the levels and the framing so you can talk. At the end you leave with the raw files on a link, or, if you want, the engineer edits overnight: the audio cleaned and levelled, the three cameras cut to whoever is talking, and the episode back to you by ten the next morning.
Remote guests join on a call routed into the desk as their own track, so a guest in Melbourne sounds like they are in the room as far as the laws of the internet allow. Live streaming to YouTube or a platform of your choice is possible from the suite at no extra charge. Branding on the wall behind you, a screen for slides, and a whiteboard are there if you want them.
Regular shows book a fixed weekly or fortnightly slot, which we hold for them and price as a half day if they use it as one. We do not own your show, take a share, or put our name on it unless you ask. Corporate clients use the suite for internal podcasts and recorded panels; the rate is the same.

Questions about podcast suite
How long does an episode take to record?
Most people record a forty-five-minute episode in an hour, with setup, a warm-up and a retake or two. Two episodes in a two-hour booking is common.
Do we need an engineer?
For video, yes, unless one of you will watch three cameras and four levels while talking. For audio-only shows with experienced hosts, the room can be booked dry after a first session with us.
Pick the room and the hours. The price works itself out.
The live room is £45 an hour, never more than £150 for a half day or £300 for a day; an engineer £20 an hour on top, capped the same way. The book page does the sum and shows what is free today and tomorrow. Half the quote holds the date.
