By the hour, with the caps.
Every room has an hourly rate, a half-day cap at four hours and a day cap at ten, and so does the engineer. Book three hours and you pay three; book four and you pay the half-day; book seven and you pay the half-day plus three; book ten and you pay the day. The book page does the sum.

Questions about rates
How do the caps work?
Up to four hours, you pay the hourly rate or the half-day cap, whichever is less. Beyond four, the half-day cap plus the hourly rate for each hour after it, never more than the day cap. The engineer is worked out the same way. The book page shows the sum line by line.
Who masters?
Owain Lewis, on Fridays, in the mix room. He mastered for a Bristol label for nine years and now does about forty records a year here.
Is there a deposit?
Half the quote holds the date, refunded with a week's notice; a session moves free with two days' notice. The balance is paid on the day.
Do you do package deals for an album?
A block of five or more days in the live room is quoted at £270 a day rather than £300, and the mix days at £210. Ask with the dates.
Pick the room and the hours. The price works itself out.
The live room is £45 an hour, never more than £150 for a half day or £300 for a day; an engineer £20 an hour on top, capped the same way. The book page does the sum and shows what is free today and tomorrow. Half the quote holds the date.
