The black door, on the river side.
Curran Embankment runs along the Taff south of the city centre; we are the red-brick warehouse on the river side, between the joinery and the boat club, with a black steel door for people and a loading door for drum kits. Ring the bell; somebody is always in the control room.

Getting here, load-in and what to bring
The unit
Unit 12, Curran Embankment, Cardiff CF10 5NE: the red-brick warehouse on the river side of Curran Road, between the joinery and the boat club, with a black steel door and a loading door. Ring the bell; somebody is always in the control room.
Getting here
Cardiff Central is a ten-minute walk over the bridge by Fitzhamon Embankment; Grangetown station is twelve minutes. Buses on Penarth Road stop five minutes away. By bike, the Taff Trail runs along the embankment opposite.
Parking and load-in
Four spaces in the yard for bands loading in, booked with the session, and on-street pay-and-display on Curran Road. The loading door is at ground level and the lift takes a full drum kit and a bass cab in one go.
Access
The rehearsal room, the lounge and a toilet are on the ground floor. The live room, the mix room, the booth and the podcast suite are on the first floor, reached by the goods lift or the stairs. Tell us if anyone needs the lift and we keep it free.
Hours
Sessions every day 10am to 10pm, late until 2am by arrangement. Rehearsal weekday evenings and weekends. The office answers bookings Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm; the free sessions for today and tomorrow are on the book page.
Bring with you
Your instruments, a snare and sticks if you are particular, spare strings, a drive for the files if you want them on the night, and references: two or three records whose sound you like. For a podcast, your running order and any guest links.
On the embankment and cannot see a black door? Ring 029 2018 0750; one of us will open the loading door and wave.
Pick the room and the hours. The price works itself out.
The live room is £45 an hour, never more than £150 for a half day or £300 for a day; an engineer £20 an hour on top, capped the same way. The book page does the sum and shows what is free today and tomorrow. Half the quote holds the date.
