The team

Three groomers, one dog at a time.

Bethan started in a converted garage in Boverton and opened on Boverton Road in 2016. Rhys takes the big dogs, Nia takes the cats and the nervous ones. Between them, every coat in the Vale, done slowly.

The groomers

Bethan Morgan

Owner, City & Guilds Level 3

Bethan groomed from a converted garage in Boverton for four years before opening on Boverton Road in 2016. Hand stripping is her thing: terriers, cockers and the odd Airedale come from across the Vale for it. She also does the nervous dogs and the puppy sessions.

Rhys Davies

Groomer, big dogs and double coats

Rhys joined in 2019 from a kennels in Bridgend and takes the large and giant dogs: retrievers, doodles, Newfoundlands, and the collie he brings to work. If your dog sheds for a living, he is the one with the de-shed rake.

Nia Thomas with short curly hair and glasses, cradling a calm grey cat

Nia Thomas

Groomer, cats and nervous dogs

Nia is Fear Free certified and did the feline grooming course in 2022. She grooms cats on Wednesday mornings when the salon is quiet, and takes the dogs who need the slow room: the old, the deaf, the rescues and the ones who have been frightened somewhere else.

How we work

Four things you can expect every time.

Your dog, start to finish

The same groomer bathes, dries and finishes your dog. No handing a wet dog to whoever is free, no cage dryers.

Collected when we ring

Most grooms take two to three hours. We ring when your dog is done and ask you to be here within half an hour, so nobody sits in a crate all afternoon.

The guide price is the price

Size and coat set the price and it is on the website. The only extras are matting by time and the add-ons you choose.

Nervous, old and first-timers

Shorter sessions, non-slip tables, a quiet room with no dryers running, and a groomer who will stop if your dog has had enough.

Book a groom.

Tell us the breed, the size and what you would like, and we confirm a slot by text within a working day. Nervous dog, first groom or a cat: say so and we book the quiet room.
