Before, after, and who did it.

A before and after you can drag, then six recent grooms, one of each kind. Save the ones you like and bring them; we will tell you whether your dog's coat can do it.

Before and after

Biscuit, matted to the skin, clipped short and eight weeks later.

He came in with a coat felted behind the ears, under the collar and down both back legs. We clipped it short under the mats rather than spend two hours pulling at them, sent him home with the right brush, and this is the regrowth at the next visit, scissored into a teddy trim.

Bethan

Round head, round feet, half an inch on the body. Millie comes every seven weeks and is brushed twice a week at home, which is why she never needs clipping short.

Rhys

Clipped jacket, scissored legs and skirt, eyebrows and beard shaped by hand. Otto stands like a statue for it, which took three visits to get to.

Hand strip, border terrier

Bethan

Full body strip every ten weeks, head and furnishings tidied. Three years of stripping and the coat is as harsh and red as the day he came in.

Bath and de-shed, working cocker

Rhys

Bath, blast and a thorough de-shed for a dog that swims at Llantwit beach most days. Feet and ears tidied, no clipping, forty minutes.

Nia

Nails ground back a little every three weeks for a big dog who had never had them done. Ten minutes, a biscuit, and no more clicking on the floor.

Nia

Wednesday morning, dryers off. A full brush-out, two small mats clipped behind the ears, nails and a sanitary trim. Home within the hour.

Bring a photo

A photo tells us more than a description.

"Not too short" means something different to everyone. Bring a photo of a trim you like, or of your dog after a groom you were happy with, and we will say whether the coat can do it now, after a grow-out, or not at all. We take a photo of every dog on the way out and send it with the text that says they are ready.

Book a groom.

Tell us the breed, the size and what you would like, and we confirm a slot by text within a working day. Nervous dog, first groom or a cat: say so and we book the quiet room.
