Price guide

The price, before you book.

Grooming is priced by the size of the dog and the type of coat, because that is what sets the time. Find your size, then your coat, and that is the price. The only thing that adds to it is matting, charged by time, and we ring you first.

Step one

Find your dog's size.

Weight is the guide, but a tall lean dog with a lot of coat counts as the size up. If you are not sure, tell us the breed when you book.

Matting

Why matting costs extra, and why we sometimes clip it off instead.

A mat is hair felted to the skin. Brushing it out pulls, takes a long time and hurts, so we charge for it by the quarter hour and we stop at an hour. Past that, the kind thing is to clip the coat short under the mats and start again; it grows back in eight weeks and the dog is far happier than after two hours of de-matting.

  • £10 per 15 minutes, and we ring you before we start it
  • Matted to the skin: clipped short at the full groom price, no de-matting charge
  • We show you the mats, and which brush stops them
