Court hire

Visitors can hire a court by the hour at £14, with floodlights on a £4 token after dusk. Check the live grid, then ring or ask below.

You do not have to join to play here. Courts that members have not taken can be hired by the hour, up to a week ahead, and the grid on the courts page shows what is free.

Hire is for up to four players on one court. You will get a gate code by text on the day. Please bring non-marking flat-soled shoes for the clay; we are polite about this, but not flexible.

Courts 1 and 2 have no floodlights, so hire stops at dusk on them. Courts 3 to 6 are lit until 10pm from a token meter in the veranda box. In November that means lights from about 4pm, which is why winter evenings get booked up first.

If you find you are hiring a court more than about thirteen times a year, adult membership has become the cheaper choice. We will tell you when you get close, because we would rather have you as a member.

What is included

  • One court for up to four people
  • A gate code by text on the day of play
  • Use of the changing rooms and pavilion toilets
  • Balls and rackets to borrow if you ask ahead

What it costs

Visitor court hire £14 an hour. Floodlights £4 an hour after dusk, members and visitors alike. Every membership fee is on the join page, worked out to the pound from today.
