What we collect, why, how long we keep it and how to ask us about it.

What we collect

When you use the survey form we collect your name, phone number, email address and the postcode of the property, the kind of work, when you need it, a day if you gave one, and anything you write. The form records the time it was sent and your IP address, used only to block automated submissions. The fence estimator stores nothing: your figures are in the page address and nowhere else.

For a job we also hold the property address, survey notes, photographs and measurements, the written price, and invoices and payments. If a neighbour shares the cost, we hold their name and address for their invoice.

Why we use it

  • To survey, price and carry out the work (our contract with you, or steps you asked us to take before one).
  • To give photographs and reports to your insurer, only when you ask us to.
  • To keep accounting records (a legal obligation).

Who sees it

Gareth, Lowri and the crew doing your job. The steel gate fabricator receives the measurements and the delivery address, not your contact details. The review service receives your email address once, a week after the job. We never sell your details.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become jobs are deleted after twelve months. Job records and photographs are kept for ten years, the length of our post guarantee; accounting records for six years.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our using it. Email office@ironside-fencing.co.uk. We answer within a month. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

This website sets a session cookie only when you send the survey form, to limit repeat submissions; it expires when you close the browser. There are no analytics or advertising cookies. The map on the find-us page is loaded from Google, which may set its own cookies when it is displayed.
