Made in our Cwmbran workshop, A-rated, in white or any of twelve colours
uPVC windows
Casement, tilt-and-turn, sash and bay windows made to measure in our workshop on the Avondale estate, A-rated with warm-edge spacers and argon, in white or any of twelve foiled colours. From £420 a window fitted, about four weeks from the survey.

Most of what we fit is uPVC, because for most houses in Gwent it is the right answer: it does not rot, it does not need painting, it is warm, and a well-made one lasts thirty years. The difference between a good uPVC window and a poor one is in the profile, the reinforcement, the glass and the fitting, and we control all four.
We make our windows in the workshop behind the showroom from a 70 mm, six-chamber profile with steel reinforcement in the sashes, and glaze them with 28 mm units: 4 mm toughened or laminated glass where the regulations need it, warm-edge spacer bars and argon. That gives a window energy rating of A, and a whole-window U-value about a quarter of single glazing.
They come in white, or foiled in twelve colours inside and out: anthracite grey, black, heritage green, cream, golden oak and rosewood are the ones people choose. Colours take a week or two longer because the foil is applied before we cut the profile. The hardware is the same on all of them: shootbolt locks, Secured by Design handles, and restrictor hinges upstairs so a child cannot open the window fully but an adult can for escape.
Kerry surveys every opening, so the frame is made 10 mm smaller than the hole all round. On the day the old window comes out, the new one is packed, fixed and sealed, and the plaster round it is made good. Trickle vents go in where the room had them, or where Building Regulations say a room needs them.

Questions about uPVC windows
How long do uPVC windows last?
Thirty years or more for the frame. The sealed units are guaranteed for ten and usually last twenty to twenty-five, and can be replaced on their own when they mist.
Do I need trickle vents?
If the old windows had them, the new ones must too; in a room without other ventilation the regulations ask for them. Kerry will tell you room by room at the survey.

Kerry measures every opening with a laser, checks the lintels and the cills, shows you the colours and the glass, and writes a fixed quote at your kitchen table. The quote builder gives you the band before she comes.
