Misted units, locks, hinges and handles, on anyone's windows
Repairs
Misted sealed units, locks that will not turn, hinges that have dropped, handles that have snapped: we repair windows and doors whoever fitted them, usually in one visit with the part in the van. A misted unit from £95.

A window that has misted between the panes does not need replacing; the sealed unit does, and it is a thirty-minute job. Most window problems are like that: a part that has worn, on a frame that is fine. We repair windows and doors whoever fitted them, and we carry the common locks, hinges, handles and gearing in the van.
For a misted unit we measure it on the first visit, the glass is made in our workshop in a few days, and we swap it on the second, matching the obscure pattern if it is a bathroom. For a door that will not lock, it is almost always the gearbox in the multi-point lock or a dropped door that needs the hinges adjusting; for a window that will not shut, the hinge or the keep.
If the frame itself has failed or the window is single-glazed with rotten timber, we will tell you, and what a replacement would cost, but we never quote a new window when a repair will do.

Questions about repairs
Can you fix a window you did not fit?
Yes. About half our repair work is on windows fitted by other companies, many of which no longer trade.
