Slim sightlines for extensions and modern houses, thermally broken, in any RAL colour

Aluminium windows

Slim, strong, thermally broken aluminium windows for extensions, barn conversions and modern houses, powder-coated in any RAL colour with a 25-year finish guarantee. More glass, less frame, and about half as much again as uPVC.

Slim anthracite aluminium windows and a large picture window in a modern rendered rear extension, lit warmly from inside at dusk

Aluminium is the window for when the frame should almost disappear: a picture window over a garden, a corner of glass in an extension, a barn conversion where uPVC would look heavy. It is stronger than uPVC, so the frames can be half the width, and powder-coated aluminium keeps its colour for decades.

Ours are made by a fabricator in Newport we have used for fifteen years, from a thermally broken system: a polyamide strip separates the inside of the frame from the outside, so it does not run with condensation the way the aluminium windows of the 1970s did. With the same argon units as our uPVC they rate A or A+.

They are powder-coated in any RAL colour, usually anthracite grey, black or a dark bronze, and the finish carries a 25-year guarantee. They take about five weeks from survey and are fitted by the same teams. The quote builder does not price aluminium because almost every job is a one-off size; Kerry prices it on the survey.

Questions about aluminium windows

Is aluminium colder than uPVC?

Not with a thermal break. The whole-window U-value is within a whisker of our uPVC.

Can you match aluminium bi-folds?

Yes, from the same system and the same RAL colour, so the windows and the doors line up.

Kerry measures every opening with a laser, checks the lintels and the cills, shows you the colours and the glass, and writes a fixed quote at your kitchen table. The quote builder gives you the band before she comes.
