Stain and odour removal, pets

Urine, sickness and accidents found with a UV torch and treated under the pile, not just on top of it.

Pet odour treatment £15 a room, on top of the clean

A pet accident that has dried on the surface is the small part. The urine soaks through the backing into the underlay, and that is what still smells three weeks after you scrubbed the top.

We find every spot with an ultraviolet torch, including the ones you did not know about. Each one gets an enzyme treatment that breaks down the uric salts, left long enough to work, and then the whole room is cleaned and rinsed so no residue is left to attract the pet back.

Where it has gone right through, a sub-surface extraction tool pulls the solution back up out of the underlay. Very old, repeated accidents sometimes mean the underlay has to be replaced; if so, we will say so rather than charge you for a treatment that will not work.

Most other stains, coffee, red wine, mud, blood and chocolate among them, come out or fade a long way with the right spotter. The stain guide tells you what to do in the first five minutes, which matters more than anything we bring.

What is included

  • A UV torch survey of the room
  • Enzyme treatment with proper dwell time
  • Sub-surface extraction where it has soaked through
  • A full rinse so nothing attracts the pet back
  • A straight answer if the underlay needs replacing

What it costs

Pet odour treatment £15 a room alongside a clean; a visit for spot stains only is £60 for up to an hour. The room-by-room quote adds it up for your house, and the price it shows is the price you pay.

Questions about pet stains and odour

Are the products safe for pets?

Yes, once dry. Keep pets out of the room until it is dry, mostly so they do not walk the solution through the house.

Will the smell come back?

Not from spots we treated through to the underlay. A new accident will, which is why we rinse out anything that smells like a target.

Should I use a supermarket spray first?

Please do not use anything with ammonia or bleach. It smells like urine to a dog, and bleach takes the colour out for good.
