A cracked screen is the job we see most. On most phones it takes under an hour, your data stays where it is, and you can go and get a coffee on Commercial Street while we do it.
We lift the old screen, check the frame, the sensors and the speaker mesh, and fit the new panel. Then we test touch across the whole glass, the cameras, Face ID or fingerprint, and the brightness, in front of you. We tell you whether the part is an original or a good-quality compatible one, and we price both where we can get both.
If the frame is bent or the board has taken a knock, we will say so before we start, because a new screen on a bent phone cracks again. Most of the time it is just glass. If it needs more than we quoted, we stop and ring you.

What it costs

Questions about screen repairs
Will I lose my photos?
A screen replacement does not touch your data, and in several years we have not lost any on a screen job. Back up anyway if the phone still lets you. Anyone who promises nothing can ever go wrong is not being straight with you.
Is it waterproof afterwards?
We fit a new seal, but no independent shop, us included, can promise the original water resistance after opening a phone. Treat it as splash-proof at best.
What will the phone say about the part?
Some newer iPhones show a message saying a part is not genuine or is unknown. It is mostly cosmetic, but True Tone or similar features can be affected. We will tell you before we start.
