The yard
Dixton Road, half a mile out.
The cabin, the log store, the trucks and the chippers in one yard between the garage and the allotments, two minutes from the A40 and five from Monnow Street. Every quote starts with a visit to you, so most people only come here for logs, on a Saturday morning, when the gate is open.

Getting here, and where we go
The yard
The Yard, Dixton Road, Monmouth NP25 3PR: on the left half a mile out of town towards the A40 Dixton roundabout, a green gate between the garage and the allotments. The office is the cabin on the right as you come in; the log store is at the back.
Getting here
Two minutes from the A40 at the Dixton roundabout, five from Monnow Street. Bus 65 and 69 stop at the Dixton Road turning; the town car parks are a ten-minute walk. There is room to turn a car in the yard and park by the cabin.
Logs and chip
Seasoned hardwood logs by the builder's bag, £85 delivered within the core postcodes or £70 collected on a Saturday morning. Woodchip for the garden is free when we are passing with a load; ring and we will drop it.
Where we work
The twelve postcode areas on the areas page: Monmouth, Chepstow, Usk, Ross-on-Wye and Coleford at no travel charge; Abergavenny, Pontypool, Caerleon, south Hereford and the Forest towns for £40 a job. Further afield for a day's work or a survey, quoted.
Access
The cabin is step-free from the yard with a wide door; the yard is gravel. If you cannot get to us, every quote starts with a visit to you anyway, and reports and invoices come by email or post.
Hours
Office Monday to Friday 7:30 to 5:30; crews out Monday to Saturday from 8; log sales Saturday 9 to 1; the storm line 24 hours, every day. Quotes within two working days and a site visit the same week.
Gate shut? We are up a tree. Ring 01600 496 0650 and someone will be back within the hour.
A band from the estimator. A fixed quote after we have looked.
The estimator turns the job, the size of the tree and the access into a price band before you ring. The quote form takes two minutes; Owen or Ffion replies within two working days with a visit that week, and the quote after it is the figure on the invoice. A tree down right now: the storm line, any hour.
