Where we work

Ross to Chepstow, Usk to the Forest.

The yard is on Dixton Road on the edge of Monmouth, which puts Chepstow, Usk, Ross-on-Wye and Coleford all inside half an hour. Those five postcode areas carry no travel charge; seven outer areas add £40 once per job; beyond them we come for a day's work or a survey and quote the travel honestly.

Is my postcode covered?

The check uses the outward code only, so a full postcode and its first half give the same answer. Nothing is stored.

Beyond the list

Hereford, Newport, Gloucester and the Black Mountains: for a day\'s work, yes.

A single small job forty miles away is not a good use of your money or our diesel, and we will say so and name a firm nearer to you. A full day of hedges on a farm, a plot clearance, a line of poplars or a BS 5837 survey for a planning application is a different matter, and we go as far as Hereford, Newport, Gloucester and Brecon for those a few times a month, with the travel quoted at cost on the visit.

A band from the estimator. A fixed quote after we have looked.

The estimator turns the job, the size of the tree and the access into a price band before you ring. The quote form takes two minutes; Owen or Ffion replies within two working days with a visit that week, and the quote after it is the figure on the invoice. A tree down right now: the storm line, any hour.
