Dog and cat, dry and wet, by the bag
Pet food
Dry food in three bag sizes, tins and pouches, and raw from the freezer. We stock what we would feed our own, and tell you what a bag costs by the week.

A bag of dog food is the most boring thing you will buy this week, and one of the few you buy every month for fifteen years. It is worth getting right.
We carry four house foods for dogs and four for cats, each in three bag sizes, made to our spec by a mill in Mid Wales. Behind those sit the tins, the pouches, and a freezer of raw for anyone who has done their reading. There is a small trial bag of everything, because some dogs have opinions.
Rhian will read a label with you if you want. The ingredients list is in order of weight, and the first line tells you most of it. If your vet has put your animal on a prescription diet, we do not sell those: your vet does, and we will tell you so.
A bag stays at its best for about six weeks once opened, so we will not sell you a sack that lasts a small dog four months, even though it is cheaper by the kilo. Use the food cost calculator to see the numbers.

Questions about pet food
Do you price match?
No, and we are a little dearer than the internet on some things. We are cheaper than most on our house foods, because we buy by the pallet and the mill is close.
My dog has gone off his food. What now?
If it is sudden, or he is not drinking, ring your vet. If he is simply bored, bring him in and we will find him something to try from the trial bags.
Bring the dog in. We will weigh it for nothing.
Or put in a weight and a food, and see which bag, how long it lasts and what it costs a week.
