House fronts, backs and full wraps for roofers, painters and builders
Domestic scaffolding
Scaffolds for houses: front elevations for painting and windows, rear and side scaffolds for extensions, and full wraps for re-roofs, put up in a day for most homes.

Most of our work is for homeowners and the trades they have booked: a painter for the front, a roofer for the whole roof, a builder for an extension. We put up what they need, where they need it, and take it down when they are done.
Before we quote, we look at the house: how high, what is underneath (a pavement, a garden, a conservatory), where the scaffold can be tied in, and what the trade will be doing from it. A painter needs lifts at window height; a roofer needs a platform at the eaves with guardrails and a loading bay; a window fitter needs space to swing a frame. We ask the trade if we can.
Most two-storey house fronts go up in a day with three scaffolders, and come down in half a day. Full wraps for re-roofs take one to three days depending on the house. We tie into the brickwork with anchors that leave a small hole we fill when we strike, and we protect anything soft underneath with boards and sheets.
What it includes
- A site visit before the quote
- Lifts where the trade needs them
- Guardrails, toe boards and ladder access
- Handover certificate on day one
- Inspections every seven days
- Anchor holes filled when we strike
What it costs
A two-storey house front from £650, including four weeks' hire, inspections and taking it down. The hire estimator works out a guide for your house and hire length; the quote after a visit is the price.
Questions about domestic scaffolding
How long can I keep it?
The price includes four weeks. After that it is a weekly rate agreed on the quote, and we ring before the four weeks run out.
Do I need permission?
On your own land, no. On the pavement or road, the council needs a licence, which we apply for. In a terrace you will need your neighbour's agreement if it stands on their side.
Is it safe for my children to be near?
We fit ladder guards so the ladder cannot be climbed when the trade is not there, and we ask you to keep children off it. Scaffolds are inspected every seven days.

Craig looks at the house or building, talks to your builder or roofer if you like, and sends a written quote with four weeks' hire, inspections and the licence in it. Most domestic scaffolds go up within two weeks.
