Commercial scaffolds carry more people, more materials and more public underneath. They are designed, sheeted, lit and inspected accordingly, and we work to the main contractor's programme.

We scaffold shop fronts on Green Street and Windsor Road, schools and leisure centres in the holidays, chapels for re-roofing, blocks of flats for cladding and window work, and industrial units on the business parks. Where the guidance calls for a designed scaffold, for heavy loading, sheeting in exposed places or unusual shapes, we have it designed and supply the drawings.

On busy streets we build pedestrian gantries with lighting so the pavement stays open, and handle the council licence and the traffic management. Inspection records are kept on site and emailed weekly to the site manager.

Questions about commercial scaffolding

Can you work around school holidays?

Yes. Most school work is put up in the first days of a holiday and struck before term starts.

Do you provide drawings?

For designed scaffolds, yes, from an engineer, with the calculations if the client needs them.

Are you insured for commercial work?

Yes, with public and employer's liability suited to commercial sites; certificates on request (placeholders on this demonstration site).

Craig looks at the house or building, talks to your builder or roofer if you like, and sends a written quote with four weeks' hire, inspections and the licence in it. Most domestic scaffolds go up within two weeks.
