Not a plastic sheep in sight
Welsh gifts
Lovespoons, tapestry wool, slate and dragons, all made in Wales by people we can name.

Cardiff has plenty of red dragons made a very long way from Wales. Ours were made in Wales, and we can tell you who made them, because we usually have their phone number.
The spoons are carved in Carmarthenshire, and the carver will add initials and a date if you give him three weeks. The slate comes from a quarry family in Blaenau Ffestiniog, the tapestry wool from a mill in the Teifi valley, and the ceramic dragons from a studio in Llandeilo, where no two have quite the same expression.
People send these things a long way. We post to Patagonia more often than you might think, and we pack for the journey in paper and card, without plastic. Tell us who it is for and how far it has to go.

Questions about welsh gifts
Are the lovespoons really hand carved?
Yes, each one by hand in Carmarthenshire. They vary slightly, and the grain is different every time. We can tell you what the symbols mean, or print you the card that does.
Can you post abroad?
Yes. We quote at the counter or by phone, since the cost depends on the weight. Slate is heavy, and we will warn you.
Number 8, about halfway along the arcade.
Open every day but Sunday morning. Tell us the person and the budget and we will have you out in five minutes, wrapped.
