Twenty minutes before my train and I still needed something for my mother-in-law. I said so at the counter and Bethan handed me a jug. It was the right jug. She wrapped it in the time it took me to find my card.

What people said.
Six reviews, including a fair complaint about trying to turn round in this shop on the last Saturday before Christmas.

Six of them.
I sent a lovespoon to my cousin in Trelew. They worked out the postage while I waited, packed it very well, and it got there unbroken. I have sent three since.
I asked Iestyn to check the Welsh in my card to my father-in-law and he gently fixed two mistakes without any fuss. My father-in-law has it on the mantelpiece.
My six-year-old spent eleven minutes choosing how to spend £4. Nobody hurried her. She now wants to work there.
Beautiful things, but it is a very small shop and on the last Saturday before Christmas I could hardly turn around with a rucksack on. Wrapping took a while too. Go earlier than I did.
We bought a lovespoon with the couple's initials and the date. It took the three weeks they said it would, and the bride's nan cried. I would not normally recommend making a nan cry, but this was the good kind.

About the four stars
Dafydd is right about that Saturday.
The shop is about four metres wide, and on the last Saturday before Christmas, half of Cardiff comes through it. So in December we move the wrapping to a table outside in the arcade, which has cut the queue, and we open at nine on the three Saturdays before Christmas. If you can come on a weekday morning, you will have the place nearly to yourself. Leave the rucksack with us.

Number 8, about halfway along the arcade.
Open every day but Sunday morning. Tell us the person and the budget and we will have you out in five minutes, wrapped.
