A look inside.

Six photographs of the room and the people in it, taken on quiet evenings because the busy ones are too dark. The rest is on Instagram, where the Thursday line-up goes up a month ahead.

The room, the ice, the trio, the board.

Tuesday

Forty seats, a copper bar that is polished every afternoon and shows every fingerprint by nine, and a back bar that is mostly Welsh.

Nia

Penderyn, bara brith syrup, blackberry shrub, lemon, egg white. Retired twice, shouted back twice. On every list since 2017.

Leo

A forty-litre block freezes overnight in the cellar, directionally so it is clear, and is cut by hand into the cubes, spears and spheres for that night.

Rhodri and Mari

Piano, bass and a tenor sax passing through from Bristol. No cover, no talking over them, a fortnight to get a table.

Everything on the snack list for two or three people, £28. The croquetas are the thing people come back for; the peppers are the thing they photograph.

Instagram

The line-up, the new list and the odd drink.

The Thursday line-up goes up a month ahead, the new Still list on the day it changes, and a photograph of whatever Leo has just made when it is worth one. No stories of the bar at eleven on a Saturday; it is too dark and you were there.

Book a table, or take the back room.

Forty seats, so Thursdays to Saturdays need a booking. The back room seats sixteen with no hire fee against a minimum spend; the whole bar is yours on a Monday. Eighteen and over after 5pm.
