Carol Price

Landlady

Carol was born in Edwardsville and pulled her first pint at the Colliers in 1984, during the strike, when her father was on the committee that ran the soup kitchen from the function room. She ran pubs in Pontypridd and Porthcawl before taking the licence here in 2011.

She runs the bar, the bookings and the function room, sets the Christmas quiz herself and knows who drinks what before they reach the bar.

Rhys Morgan

Cellarman and Sunday chef

Rhys worked as a chef in Cardiff for fifteen years before coming home to Treharris. He keeps the cellar, chooses the guest ales, runs the sound desk on open mic nights and carves every Sunday.

He took the cellar from two pumps to four, and he will happily talk you through the difference between a mild and a porter for as long as you will listen.
