Three terraces up the hill

Beer garden

Three terraces behind the pub with a view down the Taff Bargoed valley, festoon lights, a covered smoking shelter and room for dogs and children.

A terraced pub beer garden with picnic benches and festoon lights above a green valley on a summer evening

Behind the pub the garden climbs the hill in three terraces, and from the top one you can see down the valley to Quakers Yard.

There are twelve picnic benches, festoon lights for summer evenings, a covered and heated shelter for smokers, and a fenced lower terrace where children can play within sight of the tables. Dogs are welcome on every terrace.

On summer Saturdays from May to September Rhys runs a barbecue from four until eight: burgers, sausages from the butcher in Treharris and halloumi skewers, from £8.
