A carvery plate of roast beef and pork with crackling, a Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and gravy

The Sunday carvery is the busiest four hours of the week: six sittings, three meats, and a queue that Rhys carves through without hurrying anyone.

Topside of beef cooked pink, pork shoulder with crackling, and turkey crown, with Yorkshire puddings, roast and boiled potatoes, mashed swede and carrot, red cabbage, cauliflower cheese, greens and a gravy made from the roasting tins. There is a nut roast for vegetarians, made that morning.

Sittings are at 12, 12:45, 1:30, 2:15, 3 and 3:45, forty seats each. The carvery page shows how many seats are left at each sitting for any Sunday in the next eight weeks; book from there.

Puddings are £4.95: apple crumble, sticky toffee or a Welsh cake and ice cream sundae.
