A daily photograph, and a look whenever you like

Webcam and updates

A photograph every day by text or email with a line on how your cat is doing. If you would like more, there is a private webcam in every chalet, with a link just for you.

Your cat will not miss you for as long as you miss your cat. So here is a picture, to make you feel better.

Every morning after the first round, you get one photograph and one line. “Ate everything. Sat in the run for an hour. Pretending not to like Gethin.” If you are in Australia, it can wait until your morning. If you would rather not be bothered, tell us and we will only be in touch if something is wrong.

Each chalet has a small camera high in the corner, with a private link that lasts only for your stay. It shows the chalet and the run. It records nothing, and it is switched off when no one is staying. We can turn yours off on request, and a surprising number of people ask after two days of watching a sleeping cat.

The camera is there for you, and we do not use it to look after your cat. That is what the three rounds are for.

What you get

  • A daily photograph with a line of news
  • A private webcam link for your stay only
  • Nothing recorded, and off when empty
  • Messages at a time that suits your time zone
  • A phone call on anything that matters
  • Silence, if you would rather not know

What it costs

The daily photograph and the webcam are both free. Check your dates for the whole cost of a stay.

Questions about webcam updates

My cat has hidden and I cannot see it. Is something wrong?

Almost certainly not. Most cats hide on the first day or two. We will tell you honestly how it is eating, and we will send a picture of the ear we can see.

Is the webcam secure?

The link is private and it expires when you collect your cat. It cannot see anywhere except the inside of that one chalet and its run.

Come and see where your cat would sleep.

Any day from 2pm to 4pm, by arrangement. Or put in your dates and see which chalets are free.
