Cardiff Airport from £40, Bristol from £102, Heathrow from £232, fixed, with the flight watched

Airport transfers

Fixed fares from every zone of the borough to Cardiff Airport, Bristol Airport and Heathrow, with the flight number on the booking so the car is there when you land rather than when you said you would. Forty-five minutes free after landing, a name board at arrivals for £10 if you want one, child seats booked ahead at no charge, and eight-seaters for the big family.

An airport run is the job where a fixed fare matters most: at four in the morning nobody wants to watch a meter on the M4, and at the other end nobody wants to wonder whether the car is coming. Every fare to the three airports is on this website by zone, the booking carries your flight number, and the dispatcher watches it land.

Cardiff Airport at Rhoose is about forty-five minutes from Pontypridd and £48 from the town centre; the car comes to the door at the time we agree, which for a 6am flight is usually 3:45, and the driver helps with the bags. Bristol Airport is an hour and twenty minutes and £110; Heathrow is two hours forty-five on a good day and £240, and we build in the margin for the M4 rather than leaving it to you. Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester are quoted on request and are not on the table because the price depends on the day.

For a collection we book against the flight number, not the time you think you will be out. The office watches the flight on the day: if it lands early the driver is early, if it is delayed two hours the driver is held back and you pay nothing for it. Once you land you have forty-five minutes free for passport control and the bags, then the normal waiting rate of £5 a quarter hour. A name board at arrivals is £10; otherwise the driver texts you the bay number in the short-stay car park and the car park fee is in the fare.

Child seats are booked ahead at no charge and we carry infant carriers, toddler seats and boosters. Five to eight people with airport luggage need an eight-seater, which is 40% more and has the boot for the cases; we have four. Airport fares are the same at night as in the day: the 25% night uplift does not apply to a pre-booked airport run, because most of them are at night.

Questions about airports

What if my flight is delayed?

The office watches it and holds the driver back. You pay the fixed fare and nothing for the delay; the forty-five free minutes start when the wheels touch down.

Can you take six of us with suitcases to Bristol?

Yes, in an eight-seater: £154 from the town centre with the bags in the boot rather than on knees. Booked the day before, with a fixed pick-up time.

Ring for a car now, or book a fixed time for the airport.

Cars on the road twenty-four hours a day from the office on Gelliwastad Road, with the fare fixed before you get in. Ring 01443 496 0700 any hour, or book here for a set time, an airport run, an eight-seater or the ramp car and the office confirms within the hour in the day.
