Price a hire, for the days you need.
Choose the bike and the number of days and the page works out the price: a day at the day rate, a week for the price of five, and never more than five days in any seven. Helmet, lock, lights, pump and the map are in the price. Book by the form or by phone; we hold the size you need.

Child seats, tag-alongs and a trailer are free with an adult hire. Every bike is sized to the rider before it leaves; the commonest thing we see on the trail is a bike in the wrong size.

Castell Coch, 14 miles there and back
The Taff Trail north, flat and traffic-free, to the fairy-tale castle on the hill. An hour each way on a hybrid; a café at the castle and one at Forest Farm. The family ride.
The Bay loop, 9 miles
South on the trail to the Bay, round the barrage to Penarth, and back along the river. Forty minutes without stopping; nobody does it without stopping.
Caerphilly over the mountain, 22 miles
One proper hill, a castle with a leaning tower, and the road back through Tongwynlais. An e-bike makes it a morning; a road bike makes it a workout.
Brecon, 55 miles one way
The whole Taff Trail, for the week-long hire. We can book the train back from Abergavenny or Merthyr for you, and the bike goes on it.
Questions about hire
Can I hire for a few hours?
A half day (four hours) is 60% of the day rate on hybrids and children's bikes. E-bikes and the cargo bike are by the day.
Where should we ride?
The Taff Trail north to Castell Coch is an hour each way on a hybrid and flat the whole way. The Bay loop is forty minutes. We give you the map with the cafés on it.
Hire first, buy later, and the hire comes off.
A day's hire is credited against a bike of the same kind bought within a month, and the e-bike trial week is credited in full. The best way to choose a bike is to ride the real route on it.
