Three fixed levels, £45, £85 and £150, a next-free-slot board, punctures while you wait
Workshop and servicing
Three mechanics, four stands and a wheel-building bench, open six days with drop-off from 8am. A safety check and tune at £45, a full service at £85, a strip and rebuild at £150, all labour-only with parts quoted before they are fitted. The board says the next free slot; the website says the same. We text when it is ready.

A bike shop is only as good as its workshop, and ours has been the reason people come since 2011: three mechanics with Cytech qualifications, four stands, a wheel-building bench, a hydraulic bleed station, and the e-bike diagnostic kit for the four big motor systems. Every bike leaves with a sheet saying what was done and what is next.
Bronze, at £45, is the forty-five-minute safety check and tune: brakes adjusted, gears indexed, headset and wheels checked for play, tyres to pressure, chain measured, every bolt torqued, a sheet of what we found. Silver, at £85, is the full service, about two hours: everything in Bronze plus the drivetrain cleaned and degreased, cables and outers inspected and replaced where frayed, wheels trued, hubs and bottom bracket adjusted, brakes bled or pads replaced if needed, with parts quoted first. Gold, at £150, is the strip and rebuild over a day: every bearing out, cleaned, greased or replaced, the frame cleaned, new cables throughout, and the bike set up as it left the factory.
The next free slot is on the board in the shop and on the workshop page here, worked out from the diary: usually two working days. Book the slot, drop the bike from 8am, and we text when it is ready, usually the same day for Bronze and Silver. Punctures are fixed while you wait at £12 with the tube included, any time the workshop is open, no booking. Gears indexed on the spot for £20 if a stand is free. E-bikes have their own diagnostic slot at Silver price plus the motor check, and we are certified for Bosch, Shimano, Bafang and Fazua.

Questions about workshop
Do you service bikes you did not sell?
Yes; most of the two and a half thousand a year were bought elsewhere, and about a hundred of them online in a box, which we also build at £45.
How long will it take?
Bronze and Silver are usually back the same day you drop off. Gold takes a day on the stand and two in the diary. If a part has to be ordered we say when it will be in and keep the bike or give it back meanwhile.
