The question people bring in is whether an e-bike will replace the second car for the school run, the commute from Llandaff or the hill home to Penylan. We stock four motor systems and are certified to diagnose and service all four, which matters more than the brand on the frame: a motor fault on a bike bought online with no local dealer is a bike in a shed. Step-throughs for the shops and the commute, hardtails for the Taff Trail and the forest at Cwmcarn, a longtail cargo bike that takes two children, and a folding e-bike for the train. Ranges from forty to a hundred miles depending on the battery, the hill and the rider.

You ride your actual commute, your actual hill, with your actual shopping, and you find out. Questions about e-bikes
How far does the battery go?
Forty miles on a small battery up a lot of hills, a hundred on a big one on the flat. The Taff Trail to Brecon and back is two charges. We say which battery suits the ride you describe.
Can I insure it?
Yes, and you should; we give you the frame and motor numbers and the registration on the day. Most home policies cover a bike under £1,500 and need an add-on above it.
