Two hours, £120, credited against a bike over £1,000; saddle height, reach, cleats, and the sore knee that goes away

Bike fit

Two hours with Sioned on the fit jig and then on your own bike: your flexibility and history, the measurements, saddle height and setback, reach and bar height, cleat position, and a sheet with every number. £120, credited against a bike over £1,000 bought here. Most of the people who book have a sore knee, a numb hand or a long ride coming.

A bike fit is not a luxury for racers. The people who book it are mostly riding to work with a knee that hurts, or training for a first long ride with a numb hand, or sixty and finding the drops too far away. Two hours, one set of numbers, and the bike set up to the body on it rather than the other way round.

The first half hour is off the bike: your history, the ride you do, the injury or the ache, and a flexibility screen, because a saddle height is only right for the hamstrings underneath it. Then the fit jig, where saddle height, setback, reach and bar height are changed while you pedal and the goniometer and the video say what the knee and the hip are doing. Then your own bike, set to the numbers, with cleats positioned and stem and bars changed if they need to be (parts at cost on the day).

You leave with a sheet of every measurement, so the next bike, or a hire bike, or the turbo at home can be set the same in five minutes. A follow-up after a month is free, because bodies adapt and the numbers sometimes need a millimetre. Sioned fits on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; book on the booking page with the ride you do and the thing that hurts.

Questions about bike fit

I only ride to work. Is it worth it?

If something hurts, yes: it is usually the saddle, and it is usually ten minutes of the two hours, but the other hundred and ten are what stop it coming back.

Do I need to bring anything?

The bike, the shoes you ride in, the shorts you ride in, and the pedals if they are not on the bike. Water. Nothing else.

Book the workshop. Fixed prices, the next free slot, a text when it is done.

Three service levels at £45, £85 and £150, labour only, with parts quoted before they are fitted. Book the slot here or by phone, drop the bike from 8am, collect the same day for Bronze and Silver. Punctures while you wait, any time.
