From £5,900 supplied and fitted; about eight working days
En-suites
A shower room off the main bedroom, often in a space that was a cupboard or a corner: a shower tray or a level floor, a compact wall-hung toilet and basin, good extraction, and storage built into a stud wall.

En-suites are small rooms with big plumbing problems: a long way from the soil stack, often over a ceiling, and with nowhere for steam to go. We solve the plumbing first, then make the room feel twice its size with a wall-hung toilet and basin, a frameless screen and one tile from floor to ceiling.
For a new en-suite in a bedroom we build the stud wall, run the waste (by gravity if the fall allows, or with a quiet macerator pump if it does not, which we tell you about at the design visit), and fit an extractor that actually clears the room, ducted to outside. Building regulations apply to a new en-suite, for drainage, ventilation and electrics, and we arrange the sign-off.
For an existing en-suite we strip it back and refit, and the usual improvement is to swap a narrow tray and a folding door for a larger low tray and a fixed glass panel, which needs no door at all. Recessed niches in the stud wall take the bottles off the floor.

What it costs

Questions about en-suites
Can I have an en-suite with no outside wall?
Yes, with the fan ducted through the loft or the ceiling void to outside. It needs a bigger fan and a clear duct run, which we check at the design visit.
What is a macerator, and is it noisy?
A small pump that sends waste through a narrow pipe when gravity cannot. Modern ones are quiet, but not silent; we only use one when there is no other way and we tell you first.
Do I need building regulations?
For a new en-suite, yes: drainage, ventilation and electrics. For replacing an existing one like for like, the electrics need certifying but the rest usually does not.
Start with an hour in the room. Then the showroom.
The design visit is £95 and comes off the bathroom when you order: Siân measures the room, finds the pipes and the soil stack, and sends a drawn layout with three priced options within a week. Or price a package on the estimator first.
