I was set on the eight-seater. The planner on the website said I would have 22 centimetres to walk behind the chairs, so we measured it out with masking tape on the floor and agreed. The six-seater has been perfect, and I have saved £370.

Our cottage has no straight walls. Mari measured the alcoves and sent a drawing and a fixed price in nine days. The cupboards fit to within a pencil line, and it came in at exactly the price on the drawing.
Two lads carried a ten-seat table up a farm track in the rain. They took the legs off to get it in, built it, levelled it on our slate floor, and took every bit of cardboard away.
Beautiful frame and very comfortable, but it took eleven weeks, not the ten they said. They did ring to tell me about the delay, and the wool cover was worth waiting for. You do have to plump the cushions every few days, as warned.
Bought because my old bed creaked every time I turned over. Three years later it has not made a sound. They left a spanner in an envelope taped under the rail, and I have not needed it.
We looked at the corner of a drawer as they told us to, and then went and looked at the ones in a big furniture shop. There is no comparison. The sideboard is level on a floor that falls an inch in four feet.

Gareth’s sofa was a week late.
The wool came from the mill a week after it was promised, and the upholsterers cannot start without it. We rang as soon as we knew. We now quote ten weeks for linen, and eleven for Welsh wool, because that is how long it really takes.
