You do not need a kit of 200 pieces. You probably need one good screwdriver and someone to tell you which one. That is what we are for.
We keep good hand tools on the wall at the back: claw hammers, panel saws, chisels, spanners in imperial and metric, spirit levels and tape measures that do not snap back at your thumb. There is nothing in a blister pack that you cannot take out and hold first. Gareth has been selling them for forty years and will talk you out of the expensive one if the cheaper one will do.
For the jobs you do once, we hire out a wallpaper stripper, a tile cutter, a long ladder, a post-hole digger and a few others. Saws and chisels go to the sharpener on Thursdays, and that costs £5 a blade.

What can I hire?
A wallpaper stripper, tile cutter, long ladder, post-hole digger, carpet stretcher and a small cement mixer. Ring ahead on a Saturday, as they are often out.
Do you sell power tools?
A small range of cordless drills and sanders. If you want the big names and the sets, the sheds on the retail parks have more choice. If you want one that works and advice, come here.
Bring the broken bit in.
Hand it over the counter and we will find you the part, or tell you what you actually need. Monday to Saturday, and until 1pm on a Wednesday.
