I walked in with a dripping tap's insides in a sandwich bag. Gareth looked at it, opened a drawer and sold me one washer for 20p. Then he told me which way to turn it and drew it on the bag.
Reviews
What people say.
Six reviews, including a fair complaint about our early closing on a Wednesday.

Six of them.
I had a flake of paint from behind the radiator, from when my mam decorated in about 1985. Kayleigh matched it near enough that you cannot see the join on the chimney breast.
We are first-time buyers and neither of us knew anything. They have been patient every Saturday for months. Nobody has laughed at us, at least not until we have left the shop.
They had a moisture meter out on the pavement and let me test the logs myself. Dry as anything and they burn well. Three nets, carried to the car, and he would not take a tip.
Excellent shop, but they still shut at one on a Wednesday as if it were 1958. I have driven down for a key and found the door shut twice now. Check before you go.
I am 81 and I cannot manage a bottle on my own. Kayleigh brought it round on her way home after we had a chat about the heater. That is why I shop here, and I told her so.
These are sample reviews written for this demonstration site, not real customers. A live site would quote its own, with permission.
About the four stars
Sharon is right about Wednesdays.
We do shut at 1pm on a Wednesday, and we have since before anyone can remember. Gareth uses the afternoon for the books and for going to see suppliers, and Kayleigh uses it for the things you cannot do with customers in the shop, such as labelling the drawers. We are not going to change it. But the home page now says what is on today, and the phone message says it too, so at least nobody should have to drive down for nothing.

Bring the broken bit in.
Hand it over the counter and we will find you the part, or tell you what you actually need. Monday to Saturday, and until 1pm on a Wednesday.
