The paint calculator
Add up the length of all the walls, give us the height, and we work out the litres and the cheapest mix of tins. A room 4m by 3m has 14 metres of wall.

How the counter works
We sell things singly by the washer, the screw and the metre, in a paper bag.
Between us, we have broken most things in a terraced house, and fixed them too.
Unused and unmixed, within 28 days with a receipt. A key that does not turn gets recut free.
If the job needs a qualified tradesperson or the cheaper tool will do, you will hear it from us.
Over the counter
I walked in with a dripping tap's insides in a sandwich bag. Gareth looked at it, opened a drawer and sold me one washer for 20p. Then he told me which way to turn it and drew it on the bag.
I had a flake of paint from behind the radiator, from when my mam decorated in about 1985. Kayleigh matched it near enough that you cannot see the join on the chimney breast.
We are first-time buyers and neither of us knew anything. They have been patient every Saturday for months. Nobody has laughed at us, at least not until we have left the shop.
Yes. Screws, washers, nails and hooks, one at a time or by weight, in a paper bag. There is no need to buy a pack of fifty.
Wednesdays at 1pm, as Tredegar always has. We also shut at 4pm on Saturdays and all day on Sundays. The home page shows what is on today.
Logs, on Fridays for £5, up to five nets in Tredegar, Georgetown, Sirhowy and Ashvale. We can bring heavy things to neighbours if we are passing, and we have.
No. We need the key, the lock or the code. It is not fussiness; a photograph is not accurate enough, and it is not secure.
Bring a chip about the size of a 10p, or more if you can. We can match most colours within five minutes, at no charge.
Yes, and cash, and an account for local trades if you ask Gareth nicely.
Hand it over the counter and we will find you the part, or tell you what you actually need. Monday to Saturday, and until 1pm on a Wednesday.
