In the cage, out the side
Gas bottles
Butane and propane bottles swapped from the locked cage. Bring your empty. Deliveries on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Bring the empty round the side and we will unlock the cage and swap it. Delivery lorries come on Tuesdays and Fridays, so if you are cutting it fine on a Monday night, ring first.
We carry butane for cabinet heaters and caravans, and propane for barbecues, greenhouses and anything that lives outside. Propane is orange and butane is blue, and they are not interchangeable, nor are their regulators. If you are not sure which you have, bring the bottle or a photograph of the collar.
Bottles are stored outside in a locked, ventilated cage, as the rules require. Keep them upright in the car, with a window open and the journey short, and do not leave one in a closed boot. We will go through it with you the first time.

Questions about gas bottles
Do I need an empty to swap?
Yes, for the exchange price. Otherwise you pay a cylinder deposit from £35, which is refundable when you return the bottle.
Can I get a bottle on a Sunday?
We are closed on Sundays, so check the gauge on Saturday. The cage is locked out of hours.
My heater smells of gas. What should I do?
Turn off the bottle, get some air in and do not use it. If you smell gas in the house, ring the National Gas Emergency number, 0800 111 999, straight away.
Bring the broken bit in.
Hand it over the counter and we will find you the part, or tell you what you actually need. Monday to Saturday, and until 1pm on a Wednesday.
