A twelve-week plan written for you, one session to learn it and two check-ins, £120; a movement assessment on its own, £45

Plans and assessments

For the people who will do the work themselves and want it done right: a one-hour assessment of how you move and what you want, a twelve-week plan written for your kit and your diary, a session in the park to learn every exercise in it, and two check-ins at four and eight weeks. £120. Or the assessment alone for £45 if you have a plan and want to know whether it suits you.

A trainer and a client at a park café table with two coffees, looking at a notebook with a simple weekly plan

Some people do not want a trainer every week; they want to know what to do and whether they are doing it right. The plan package is that: an hour to see how you move and hear what you want, a twelve-week plan written for the gym you belong to or the park you walk in, an hour in the park learning every exercise with us watching, and two check-ins to adjust it. Then it is yours.

The assessment is an hour in the park: a conversation about what you want and what has got in the way before, a movement screen (squat, hinge, push, pull, carry, a single-leg balance, and whatever your knee, back or shoulder is telling us), and a look at your week. The plan arrives within three days: twelve weeks, three or four sessions a week, written for what you actually have access to and the time you actually have, with progressions built in and a one-line "why" against each block.

The teaching session is an hour in the park going through every exercise in the plan until you can do each one without thinking about it, filmed on your phone so you have it. Check-ins at four and eight weeks are twenty minutes on the phone or by video to change what needs changing. At twelve weeks you can have a new plan for £60, or not; there is no subscription and the plan does not expire.

Questions about plans

Can you write a plan for the gym I already go to?

Yes, and that is most of them: tell us the gym and we write for its kit. The teaching session is still in the park unless your gym lets us in, which some do.

Is the assessment useful on its own?

If you already have a plan from somewhere and want to know whether it suits how you move, yes. We will tell you what to change and why, in writing, for £45.

The first session is free. Come and stand by the lake.

Tell us what you are after and roughly when you can train, and we reply within the hour between sessions with a time for a free first session: a walk round the lake, a look at how you move, and an honest answer about what it will take. Or just turn up to a bootcamp, the first one is free too.
