What we collect, why, how long we keep it and how to ask us about it.
What we collect
When you use the booking form we collect your name, phone number, email address and postcode, what you are after, when you can train, a date if you give one, and anything you write. The form also records the time it was sent and your IP address, used only to block automated submissions.
Before your first session we ask you to complete a short health questionnaire (the standard pre-exercise one): existing conditions, medication, injuries, pregnancy, and your doctor's advice if any. This is special category data and we hold it only with your explicit consent, because we cannot train you safely without it. We then hold your plan, session notes, the measures we agree and check, bootcamp bookings and attendance, and payment records. Online clients' videos are kept until the form check is done and then deleted unless you ask us to keep them.
Why we use it
- To arrange and deliver the training and run the bookings (our contract with you).
- To train you safely, which is why we hold the health questionnaire (your explicit consent, and your vital interests in an emergency, when it may be shown to a paramedic).
- To keep accounting records (a legal obligation) and the attendance records our park licence and insurer require.
- To ask for a review after your first month, which you can decline by replying.
Who sees it
Gethin and Hanna. The health questionnaire is seen by whichever of us trains you and, in an emergency, by the paramedic. The review platform receives your email address once. The booking form sends an email to us through the web host. We never sell or share your details, and we do not share your attendance or your measures with anyone, including a partner you train with, without asking you.
How long we keep it
Bookings that do not become sessions are deleted after six months. Plans, session notes and the health questionnaire are kept for two years after your last session, then deleted; accounting records for six years as the law requires; attendance records for the period the licence requires, currently two years.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our using it, or withdraw consent for the health questionnaire (in which case we will have to stop training you, and we will say so). Email hello@lakesidept.co.uk or ask either of us at a session. We answer within a month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website sets a session cookie only when you send the booking form, to limit repeat submissions; it expires when you close the browser. The next-session line at the top of some pages is worked out from the clock and stores nothing. There are no analytics or advertising cookies. The map on the find-us page is loaded from Google, which may set its own cookies when it is displayed; the page works without it.
