Train with a partner for £60 an hour, or four friends for £80: the one-to-one hour, shared
Pairs and small groups
The one-to-one hour with a partner, a friend or a few: a pair for £60 (£30 each), three for £72, four for £80. Same plan, same trainer, same lawn, and the thing that makes most people keep going, which is someone expecting them to be there at 6:30. For couples, friends, parents and teenagers, and workmates.

The most reliable predictor of whether someone is still training in a year is whether someone else is expecting them. Pairs and small groups are one-to-one sessions shared: the same plan written for each of you, the same trainer, the same hour, and a price per head that makes it the cheapest way to have a person rather than a programme.
The free first session is for all of you together, and the plan that follows is one each, because a couple rarely want the same things and a group of four never do. The session itself runs as a shared warm-up, then stations where each of you works your own numbers with the trainer moving between you, then a shared finisher and a stretch. Different levels in the same session are normal and nobody is held back or dragged along.
Pairs are mostly couples and friends; threes and fours are mostly workmates from the hospital and the university, parents and teenagers, and the bootcampers who wanted more of the trainer. Mornings from 6am, evenings to 8pm, Saturday to 1pm. If one of you cannot make it the session runs for the others at the pair price, and the plan for the missing one carries on at home.

Questions about pairs and groups
We are at very different levels. Does that work?
Yes, and it is normal: the stations are set per person and the trainer moves between you. A marathon runner and a beginner train together here every Thursday.
Can a child train with a parent?
From fourteen, with a parent in the session, yes. Younger than that, we have a list of good junior clubs in the park.
The first session is free. Come and stand by the lake.
Tell us what you are after and roughly when you can train, and we reply within the hour between sessions with a time for a free first session: a walk round the lake, a look at how you move, and an honest answer about what it will take. Or just turn up to a bootcamp, the first one is free too.
