Passed first time with Sarah in 34 hours. The plan in the app meant I knew exactly what the next lesson was and my dad knew what to practise with me on Sundays. The test car was the car I had learned in, which mattered more than I expected on the morning.

Six reviews, one for each kind of lesson, including the four-star one. Collected by an independent platform after the test, pass or fail; we do not choose which appear, and the instructor is named so you can see who they are talking about.

Failed twice with another school and was ready to give up. Dave took me on, found the thing I kept doing at roundabouts in the first lesson, and I passed with two minors four months later. He never once made me feel stupid. Worth every pound of the block.
Automatic with Amara, 26 hours start to pass, as a 31-year-old who had been putting it off for a decade. The theory guide on the website is genuinely how I passed the theory in three weeks. Same price as manual, which another school tried to charge me £4 an hour more for.
Two-week intensive with Raj before a job that needed a licence. Honest on the phone that 30 hours was tight for me and right about it; I added ten and passed on the Friday at Llantrisant Road. The test was booked before I started, which is the whole point.
Passed with Sarah, lovely instructor, honest school. Four stars because my test got moved by the DVSA with a week's notice and the school's text about it went to my old number, so I found out from the DVSA email. They apologised and now confirm contact details every block, but it was a stressful afternoon.
Refresher lessons after fifteen years without driving and a move to Cardiff. Two sessions with Raj on the roads I actually use, the Gabalfa interchange twice, and a motorway hour on the M4. No syllabus, no fuss, £76 a session. I drive to work now.
About the four stars
The test-date text went to an old number. Contact details are now confirmed every block.
The DVSA moved Carys's test with a week's notice, which they do, and our text about it went to the mobile number on her original booking form rather than the one she had changed to. She found out from the DVSA's own email the next day and had an afternoon of worry she should not have had. Every block purchase now confirms the mobile and email on the account, every test-date change is sent by text and email and followed by a call, and the app shows the test date on the home screen. Carys was right to say so.
