A former hospital café manager who opened a sandwich bar in an old wool shop, and the Saturday lad who built the office order system.
Owner
Jodie grew up in Ystrad Mynach and worked in the canteen at the old Penallta offices before running a hospital café in Caerphilly for nine years. She opened Crust & Filling in 2017 in what had been a wool shop on Bedwlwyn Road.
She makes the fillings every morning from six, plans every catering job herself and has one rule: if you can see the plate through the sandwich, it goes back.
Sandwich maker and office delivery
Sam started on Saturdays while he was at Coleg y Cymoedd and stayed. He works the counter from seven and takes the van out at twelve to the four business parks.
He knows the receptionists at Tredomen by name, carries a spare bag of crisps for the order that is always one short, and built the spreadsheet that became the office order system.

An allergen sheet for every filling and bread. The kitchen handles all 14 major allergens, so we say plainly what we cannot promise.
