Round timer

Round timer. Bell included.

Set the rounds, the work and the rest. The page writes the plan out round by round, and with JavaScript on it runs it with a bell, the ten-second clapper and a get-ready count. Our house round is six threes with a minute off.

Using it

What to do in the rounds at home.

Skipping

Two rounds to warm up: easy bounce, then alternate feet, then thirty seconds fast at the clapper. No rope? Shadow skip on the balls of your feet.

Shadow boxing

Two rounds of the combinations on your card, slowly, hands up, in front of a mirror or a dark window. Breathe out on every punch.

A bag, if you have one

Two rounds of jab-cross and moving, keeping the bag at the end of your jab. Wrap your hands; a bag is harder on wrists than pads.

The floor

A finisher in the last round: squats, press-ups and a plank in thirty-second blocks. Stop if anything hurts sharply, and tell us at your next session.

Questions about the timer

Why does the page not start the bell by itself?

Browsers only allow sound after you press something, so the bell starts with the Start button. Turn the volume up first.

Does it work without JavaScript?

Yes: the plan is written out round by round, so you can follow it with any clock. The running timer and the bell need JavaScript.

Can I share a timer?

Yes. The address carries the rounds, work and rest, so a link to your plan opens it set up. Our six-round card is this one.

Is this a training plan?

No, it is a clock. If you have an injury or a doctor has told you to avoid hard exercise, ask them first, and ask us for rounds that suit you.

The first round is free. Twenty minutes on the pads.

Tell us what you are after and roughly when you can train, and we reply within the hour between rounds with a time: how to stand, a wrapped hand, the jab and cross, and an honest answer about where to start. No card details, and nobody hits you.
