Getting here

By car

From the M4 take junction 28 for Tredegar Park, then the A48 Southern Distributor Road towards the docks and the Maesglas exit. Unit 7 is the red roller door at the far end of the estate, past the tyre place.

Parking

Twelve marked spaces outside the unit and the estate road after 5:30pm, when the other units close. The car park is busy at 6pm on weekdays; the estate road is always free.

By bus

The Cardiff Road buses from Friars Walk bus station stop at Maesglas, about five minutes' walk. Ask the driver for the Maesglas estate stop.

By train or bike

Newport station is about two and a half miles: a ten-minute taxi or a flat cycle along the river. There is a bike rack inside the door, so your bike does not live on the estate.

Inside

Ground floor, level entry through the side door, changing rooms with showers, an accessible toilet, lockers, a water fountain and benches. The roller door goes up in summer.

What to bring

Trainers with flat soles, a t-shirt and shorts or leggings, a water bottle and a towel. We lend gloves and wraps; bring your own when you have decided you are staying.

Can't find it? Ring 01633 496 0105 or text 07700 900105 and one of us will open the roller door so you can see the light.

The first round is free. Twenty minutes on the pads.

Tell us what you are after and roughly when you can train, and we reply within the hour between rounds with a time: how to stand, a wrapped hand, the jab and cross, and an honest answer about where to start. No card details, and nobody hits you.
