What we do

Six things, all to do with your ears.

Each has its own page saying what happens, what it costs and who does it. If you are not sure which you need, book the free test, which is where everything starts.

All six

Hearing tests

A full hour with an audiologist: a look in the ear, a proper test in a quiet booth, and your results explained on the screen in plain words.

Free, with no obligation.

Hearing aids

Aids from several makers, fitted to your own test results and checked in your own ear, with four years of aftercare in the price.

From £1,190 a pair, aftercare included.

Ear-wax removal

Microsuction under magnification, with a video look before and after. Tuesday and Thursday all day, Saturday mornings. Many GP surgeries no longer offer it.

From £45 one ear, £65 both.

Tinnitus advice

An hour on what the noise is, what makes it worse, and what people find helps. There is no cure and we will not pretend otherwise.

£40 for an hour.

Home visits

The same test and the same care in your own armchair, or at the care home, within eight miles of Broad Street. Wednesdays, by arrangement.

From £30 for the visit.

Hearing aid repairs

A clean, a new tube or dome while you wait, and repairs on most makes whether you bought them here or not. NHS aids go back to the NHS, and we tell you how.

Free clean; repairs from £65.

Blaenavon

Up the top of the valley, and happy to come further down.

We set up on Broad Street because people up here had to go to Newport or Abergavenny for a hearing test, and many of them just did not go. On Wednesdays we come out to you, in your own armchair, if the hill or the buses are the problem.

Book a free hearing test.

An hour, no charge, no obligation. You see the results and you take them home. If it is wax, the next clinic is usually within the week.
