Free, with no obligation.

From £1,190 a pair, aftercare included.
Microsuction under magnification, with a video look before and after. Tuesday and Thursday all day, Saturday mornings. Many GP surgeries no longer offer it.
From £45 one ear, £65 both.
An hour on what the noise is, what makes it worse, and what people find helps. There is no cure and we will not pretend otherwise.
£40 for an hour.
The same test and the same care in your own armchair, or at the care home, within eight miles of Broad Street. Wednesdays, by arrangement.
From £30 for the visit.
A clean, a new tube or dome while you wait, and repairs on most makes whether you bought them here or not. NHS aids go back to the NHS, and we tell you how.
Free clean; repairs from £65.
How we work
A good number of people who come in need wax out, or nothing at all. We tell you so, and you leave with your money.
We turn the screen round and go through your audiogram line by line, then print it for you to take to your GP or anyone else.
If aids would help, you get the model, the price and the aftercare on one sheet to take home and think about. We do not ring you to chase it.
If the stairs at home are easier than the hill to Broad Street, a home visit covers the same test with the same care, in your armchair.

Bring someone
Most people come in because somebody else has had enough of the television. That is fine. A second person in the room remembers what was said and asks the questions you did not want to, and it means you only have to explain the results once.
We keep the chairs in the consulting room for exactly that reason, and we will talk to you rather than over you.

I had gone a month thinking I was going deaf. Twenty-five minutes with Carys and I could hear the buses again. She showed me the picture, which I will not describe.
My daughter made me go. I expected to be sold something. Carys told me I had a mild loss, no aids yet, and to come back in two years. I have told everyone at the club.
Owen had three kinds out on the table and made me change the dome on each with my bad fingers. The one I can manage is the one I bought. Wearing them all day now.
No. Ring or use the form. If anything needs a doctor, we write to your GP.
It is free, and there is no obligation to buy anything. Wax removal, home visits and tinnitus appointments have prices on the prices page.
No, we are independent. NHS hearing aids are free through your GP, and if that suits you better we will say so and print your results to take with you.
No. Sudden hearing loss, especially in one ear, needs seeing the same day: ring your GP or 111 straight away. Do not wait for an appointment with us.
For a clean, new domes or batteries, yes, any time we are open. For a test or wax removal, ring first so someone is free.
We sell hearing aids, so obviously we would like to. But nobody here earns commission, and you take the price home on a sheet to think about.
An hour, no charge, no obligation. You see the results and you take them home. If it is wax, the next clinic is usually within the week.
