What we collect, why, how long we keep it and how to ask us about it.
What we collect
When you use the quote request form we collect your name, phone number, email address, the property postcode, the service and timing you choose and anything you write in the message box. The form also records the time it was sent and your IP address, used only to block automated submissions.
When you become a customer we keep the quote, the colour scheme, invoices and the guarantee, because the guarantee requires it and because you will want the exact colour names again in five years.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a visit (our legitimate interest in answering you, and the steps needed before a contract).
- To carry out the work, invoice you and honour the guarantee (contract). Photographs of finished work are used on this site only with your written agreement.
- To keep guarantee and invoice records (legal obligation).
- To send a reminder when an exterior finish is due a check, if you have asked for one (consent; stop at any time by email).
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are deleted after six months. Customer records, invoices, survey reports and guarantee certificates are kept for the life of the guarantee plus one year, or seven years, whichever is longer. Reminder lists are kept until you ask to be removed.
Who sees it
Our three staff, our accountant, and the paint merchants we order from (delivery address only). Letting agents see only the invoices for their own properties. The booking form is delivered by email to our office; we do not use third-party form services or marketing platforms. We do not sell or share your details for marketing.
Cookies
