Seven a week at the bandstand, £7 a go, ten for £60 or £39 a month
Bootcamp sessions
Fifty minutes in the park for up to twenty people with two trainers: a warm-up lap of the paths, a circuit of kettlebells, bands, sprints and bodyweight at three levels, a partner finisher and a stretch by the river. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6:15am and 7pm, Saturday at 8am.

Bootcamp here means a group of people from Ponty who would not otherwise exercise, doing it together on the grass by the bandstand because they have said they will be there. The trainers make it hard enough to matter and scaled enough that nobody is left behind.
Every session follows the same shape so you can switch your head off: a warm-up lap round the paths and some mobility at the bandstand, a circuit of eight stations (kettlebell swings and squats, band rows, step-ups on the benches, shuttle sprints, press-ups, lunges, a carry, a plank), each shown at three levels, a partner finisher, and a stretch on the river lawn. The month's plan is posted in the members' group on the first so you know Monday is legs.
Twenty people at most with two trainers, booked by text or the join page so we bring enough kettlebells. Come once a week or every session: £7 to try it, ten for £60, or £39 a month for as many as you like, which is the cheapest from about six sessions a month. The prices page works out which suits you. Bring water, layers and trainers you do not mind getting muddy.

Questions about bootcamp
Do I have to book?
Yes, by text or the join page by 9pm the night before (8pm Friday for Saturday), so we know numbers. Cancel by then and the session is credited.
What if it is dark?
Mornings from October to March, bring a head torch and wear the hi-vis we lend. From November to February the Monday and Wednesday 7pm sessions move into a school hall.
Your first session is free. See you at the bandstand.
Tell us which sessions suit and we reply within the hour between sessions with a time. Come ten minutes early, in trainers and layers, and whoever is leading will show you round and give you the easiest version of everything.
