The bandstand, two minutes from Taff Street.

In the middle of the big lawn in Ynysangharad Park, over the footbridge from the bus station. The kit is on its steps ten minutes before every session.

Getting here

On foot

The park is two minutes from Taff Street over the footbridge by the bus station, or through the main gates on Bridge Street. The bandstand is in the middle of the big lawn; follow the hi-vis.

By train

Pontypridd station is five minutes' walk: down the station steps, along Taff Street, and over the footbridge into the park. Trains from Cardiff, the Rhondda, Merthyr and Aberdare.

By bus

The bus station is on the other side of the footbridge. Every valley route stops there, so most people come by bus for the evening sessions.

Parking

The pay-and-display car park at the park's Bridge Street end is free before 8am and after 6pm. The leisure centre car park fills at 7pm; the town centre car parks are five minutes away.

Toilets and bags

The toilets by the lido are open from 7am. There is nowhere to lock a bag at the bandstand, so come changed, leave valuables in the car, and put your keys in the trainers' tub.

What to bring

Trainers you do not mind getting muddy, layers, water, and from October to March a head torch for the mornings. We lend hi-vis vests to anyone without one.

Can't see us? Ring 01443 496 0106 or text 07700 900106 and someone will wave a hi-vis vest. The meeting-point page has the drawn map.

Your first session is free. See you at the bandstand.

Tell us which sessions suit and we reply within the hour between sessions with a time. Come ten minutes early, in trainers and layers, and whoever is leading will show you round and give you the easiest version of everything.
