Seats, squabs, berths and door cards

Caravan, boat & classic car interiors.

Re-trimming for caravans, motorhomes, narrowboats and classic cars using marine foams, automotive vinyls and leather.

A classic 1960s British car interior re-trimmed in tan leather with contrast piping, seen through the open door

The trim in a caravan or a classic car has to cope with damp, sun and a tight fit around a frame that was never quite square. It is specialist work and we have been doing it for sixteen years.

For caravans, motorhomes and boats we use reticulated marine foam that drains and dries, and fabrics or vinyls rated for UV. Cushions are made to the old ones or templated from the vehicle if they have sagged out of shape, with zipped covers so they can come off for washing.

Classic car seats are rebuilt on their original frames with new diaphragms, springs and foam, then trimmed in leather, vinyl or cloth matched to the original pattern, fluting and piping. We also make door cards, headlinings, carpet sets and hood linings.

Bring the vehicle to the workshop or, for larger jobs, we will come to you. We work on marques from MG and Triumph to Land Rover and VW, and on anything with a seat that needs a new skin.

Questions we are asked

Can you match the original trim in my classic car?

In most cases, yes. We work from the original pattern, a surviving panel or period photographs, and we source leather and vinyl in the correct grain and colour.

Do I have to bring the caravan to you?

For a cushion set, no: just bring the cushions, or we collect them. For fixed seating or a full interior we will come to the storage site.
