A workshop with the prices on the wall, a fit studio upstairs, a hire fleet in the yard, e-bikes you can take for a week, the Cycle to Work paperwork done in a day, and a children's corner where the tape measure matters more than the box. Each has a page with what it costs and how it works.

Three mechanics, four stands and a wheel-building bench, open six days with drop-off from 8am. A safety check and tune at £45, a full service at £85, a strip and rebuild at £150, all labour-only with parts quoted before they are fitted. The board says the next free slot; the website says the same. We text when it is ready.

Two hours with Sioned on the fit jig and then on your own bike: your flexibility and history, the measurements, saddle height and setback, reach and bar height, cleat position, and a sheet with every number. £120, credited against a bike over £1,000 bought here. Most of the people who book have a sore knee, a numb hand or a long ride coming.

Twenty-six bikes in every size from a sixteen-inch child's bike to a cargo bike that takes two children and the shopping: hybrids £25 a day, e-bikes £45, road bikes £40, children's £12, the cargo bike £55, and a week for the price of five days. Helmet, lock and lights included; the Taff Trail starts two hundred metres away. The hire page works out the price.

Electric bikes from the four motor systems we are certified to service (Bosch, Shimano, Bafang, Fazua), from a step-through for the shops to a cargo bike for the school run. Take one for a week at £150, credited in full if you buy it. Every e-bike we sell comes with a free first service at six weeks and the diagnostic kit for the life of the motor.

Cycle to Work lets you pay for a bike and kit through your salary before tax, which on a £1,200 bike means about £800 out of your pay for a basic-rate taxpayer and about £700 for a higher-rate one. We take every scheme (Cyclescheme, Bike2Work, Green Commute, Cycle Solutions, Halfords, the NHS and the employers who run their own), quote the day you ask, and have the bike ready the day the voucher arrives.

Children's bikes from a balance bike to a twenty-six-inch, sized by inside leg rather than age because children are not an age, and with half the price back against the next size when they grow out of it. Light frames that a child can lift, brakes a small hand can pull, and a free check every six months. Child seats, trailers and tag-alongs for the family that rides together.

How the workshop runs
Three labour prices on the wall, unchanged in idea since the first week. A Silver is £85 whether the bike cost £300 or £3,000; the parts are what vary, and they are quoted first.
The next free slot on the board is worked out from the diary, not a guess. If we say Thursday, the bike goes on the stand Thursday. When we are a week out, the board says a week.
What was done, what was measured, what is next and roughly when. People who keep the sheet pay less at the next service because we know what the chain was doing in March.
About one bike in ten leaves with advice and no bill: a frame not worth the parts, a job the owner can do with a £6 tool, or a bike that needs a different shop. Saying so is the business.
